Welcome to the official website of Rotary District 7490's RYLA Conference!  Our proud district is home to the Rotary Clubs of Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties in Northern New Jersey.

R.Y.L.A. stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. RYLA is Rotary's leadership training program for young people.  Each year local Rotary Clubs seek outstanding High School Juniors to represent their communities at this all-expense paid six-day conference focusing on leadership, team-building, professional development and community service ethics. Attendees join with other talented young people representing more than forty div erse communities from throughout the District to forge a networked community dedicated to the principles of Team, Leadership, and Service Above Self.

The RYLA Program objectives are:

• To demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth.
• To publicly recognize and nurture the high qualities of the many young people who are rendering service to their communities and fellow youth leaders.
• To stimulate and cultivate the leadership potential in youth.
• To provide meaningful leadership training experience for youth, through programs such as sports, group discussion, guest speakers, and career guidance.
